Harp and bass album launch 31st May ‘12

Scottish harpist and composer Fiona Rutherford and double bassist Amy Duncan release their mini album ‘Quirk’, featuring percussion by Stuart Clark.


Fiona’s compositions encompass a wide range of influences. Its not folk, its not contemporary classical, and its not jazz, but its music that loves these genres! The blend of Scottish harp and double bass combine in an unusual and exciting way interweaving melodies and interesting rhythms.

With special guest singer/songwriter Lorna Brooks:

“Lorna Brooks has the kind of voice you’d want to spend the rest of your life with” (Record Mirror) She has opened for various artists including Loudon Wainwright III, Janis Ian, Shawn Colvin, Martin Stephenson, Jimmy Sommerville, James Grant, Sharon Shannon, Bert Jansch, and Tuck and Patti and has also worked as a session musician with various artists including backing vocals for John Martyn. Lorna has released three solo albums, Kowtow, Just and One More Time.
